Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has dealt a major blow to La Liga side Real Madrid with claims that he’s tempted by an offer to join Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The Belgium international star is one of the World’s best-attacking players at the moment, and recently, the Sun linked him with a possible £120million transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Eden Hazard had also been strongly linked as a target for league rivals Manchester United earlier this campaign, and there’s now a fresh update on the saga.
As reported by Don Balon, the Champions League holders are worried about missing out on Hazard, 27, as he’s thought to have a rather tempting bid submitted from Old Trafford.
This development would be a massive blow to the Blues, who could cope with the prospect of offloading Hazard if he were to head to a club abroad.
However, losing the Belgian to a major English Premier League rival is so unthinkable for Chelsea, who have done pretty well to keep their best players in the Abramovich era.
Still, Manchester United did complete the signing of Serbian international Nemanja Matic from Chelsea last summer window, with the midfield maestro going on to become a vital figure Jose Mourinho’s team’s improvement this season.
