Ancelotti to return to Chelsea as Abramovich discuss job with Italian

Chelsea billionaire owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly put a call through to Carlo Ancelotti to discuss the possibility of having him back at Stamford Bridge as the Russian tries to beat the stiff competition for the in-demand coach, as per a report by Sport Witness.

Italian Carlo Ancelotti is currently without a job after being shown the exit door by German champions Bayern Munich and Roman Abramovich is interested in bringing back the man who he sacked six years ago.

Premier League Champions Chelsea have not started the current League season pretty well, which has caused an increase of pressure on Italian boss Antonio Conte, who led Chelsea to the English Premier League title in his first campaign in charge last term.

The details of their conversation are not known, but the former Real Madrid manager was present at Chelsea’s home, Stamford Bridge when Conte’s men faced Serie A giant AS Roma in the Champions League group stage match.

Carlo Ancelotti has been heavily pursued by his National team, Italy, to manage their vacant managerial position but the tactician himself wants to continue with club management, which has given the Blues hope of signing him.

Ancelotti, 58, has always talked about how he loved to work in the City of London.
