Spanish publication Don Balon, as cited by the Daily Express, is claiming that Real Madrid are interested in making a move to sign the left full-back this summer window.
The 27-year-old left-back was a frequent performer for the Blues last term despite the teams stuttering Premier League form.
The FA Cup winner ended up in the fifth spot in the Premier League log as they missed out on Champions League qualification for next term.
Real seek defensive reinforcement
Now, it is being suggested that the La Liga giants are keen on a swoop for the Spaniard back to his Country this summer window as they bid to reinforce their full-back options.
As per the same report, the Spain international defender could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer window and Santiago Bernabeu are leading the pursuit for his signature.
The same report says that the Blues are keen to offload the full-back and that the Los Blancos are confident of sealing a transfer deal in the coming days.
