According to Italian media reports, North London giants Arsenal have received a major boost in their alleged pursuit of CSKA Moscow star Aleksandr Golovin this summer transfer window.
Russian side set to offload Arsenal target
Italian publication Corriere Della Sera, as cited by Calciomercato, is claiming that CSKA could be set to offload the 22-year-old this summer transfer window.
As per the same report, the Russian club would want a fee of at least €25million to offload Golovin this summer transfer window, and that has handed the Gunners encouragement that the club may be able to seal a deal to land the talented starlet ahead of next campaign.
According to the same report, both Serie A champions Juventus and Arsenal are closely monitoring the player’s situation this summer transfer window.
One for the future
The Russia international youngster was in brilliant form for CSKA this campaign, netting seven times and creating six assists for the side.
Golovin is expected to be a major player for Russia at this summer’s FIFA World Cup, and that might make €25million look like a good bargain.
The Gunners are thought to be in the market for a couple of key recruits this summer window as they look to assemble a team good enough to break back into the Premier League top four next term.
