Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been criticized by both fans and pundits for his dip in form with his poor delivery on goals in the Old Trafford this season.
The Belgium striker has yet to score any goal in his last 8 appearances for United despite seeing enough of games under manager Jose Mourinho.
However, former United striker Dimitar Berbatov thinks the Belgium international has been hard on himself by allowing the goal drought and the criticism get at him.
According to Berbatov, the former Chelsea striker must keep it simple with himself and keep his focus to be able to regain his scoring form.
The former player said Lukaku is doing too much so as to impress the manager and the fans but that is not working for him as he needs to be simple.
Meanwhile, Mourinho has defended the Belgium international stating that the player might not be doing well in terms of goal scoring but he has made a lot of efforts in training.
The Portuguese manager added that Lukaku is a good player and a professional and he backs him to return back to better form.
Lukaku has been handed the hint that he would still return to the starting XI in United’s Premier League game against Everton at the Old Trafford.
