Liverpool star player Dejan Lovren has made it known that he was sent some death threats on social media, ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Maribor on Wednesday.
The central back has struggled to find form this term and was even replaced before halftime during Liverpool’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur some days back.
Lovren was at fault for two of Tottenham’s goals, and he was heavily criticised by lots of people, with some fans demanding him to be dropped from the team this season.
But ahead of his side’s Champions League game against Maribor on Wednesday, Dejan has shared a new direct message he received on Instagram that contains death threats.
In 2015, the player was forced to deactivate his Instagram account after receiving similar threats.
The Croatian player pulled out of Liverpool’s recent premier league game against Huddersfield on Saturday, and it is not sure he will be available to play against Maribor this week.
He suffered an injury in the warm-up and Jurgen Klopp made use of Ragnar Klavan in his place.
Jurgen Klopp has got one of the best forwards in England, but his defense department keeps pulling him back.
The German manager is expected to make proper use of the January winter transfer window to add more quality to his backside.
