Defensive crisis won’t force return of Arsenal loanee

Calum Chambers

It has been established that the defensive crisis Arsenal are dipped into will not force them into recalling English international Calum Chambers in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

It has been confirmed that the North London side will be without 23-year-old defender Rob Holding for the remaining time of the season after an injury he sustained in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United while Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos and Nacho Monreal are currently on the sideline which means they will be unavailable for a couple of times.

This makes the Gunners team led by Spanish manager Unai Emery short of defenders and that has raised speculations that he would be all out for more additions in the department when the winter window reopens.

However, the claim that Calum Chambers would be recalled from his loan spell has been dismissed according to reports from Evening Standard.

The youngster is currently enjoying life at the other side of London Fulham with regular playing time, having had 11 games under his belt in addition to his ability to play as a holding midfielder which has been helpful to his side.

There is already a big hint that the North London side will be having new faces in January when the transfer window reopens.
