Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez is allegedly set to earn a stunning £400,000-weekly upon completing a move to Premier League table toppers Manchester City, becoming the Premier League’s highest paid player.
As per the Daily Mirror, Alexis Sanchez seems to be ready to join Manchester City amid interest from French side Paris Saint-Germain, and he could pocket a basic weekly wage of £325,000-weekly with about £75,000-week bonuses.
The Metro report this would make the former Barcelona star the English Premier League’s highest earning player of all time, overtaking current record held by Paul Pogba, who earns £290,000-weekly at Manchester United.
Despite the big figures in terms of weekly wages, it seems as though Manchester City will bring the Chilean on a free transfer, saving the Citizen’s a reasonable amount in that area.
As reported by BBC Sport, Pep Guardiola’s side almost spent around £55million on sealing the signature of Sanchez last summer, but Sanchez, 29, could soon become one of the best free transfer signings of all time.
The Chile international forward has not been playing convincingly well for the Gunners this term, but his form last campaign saw him tagged one of Europe’s best forwards.
Manchester City already have an incredibly talented frontline, but the signing of Alexis Sanchez could make City unstoppable.
