Revealed: £88m Liverpool Target Eyed As Pogba Replacement

Manchester United have identified Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele as the man to potentially replace star player Paul Pogba if the French World Cup winner decides to leave this summer.

This is according to the report from popular media outlet Metro which claimed that the Red Devils will only make a move for the aforementioned Ndombele if international teammate Pogba leaves the club.

Ironically, Tanguy Ndombele made his French national team debut in October as a second half replacement for Paul Pogba during an international friendly match with Iceland.

The game ended 2-2 as France came from two goals down at home to avoid defeat against minnows Iceland.

Manchester United are not the only club after Tanguy Ndombele who has been linked with clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Liverpool.

Ndombele is rated at around £88m by his French club.

Champions League finalists Liverpool were mentioned as one of his suitors last year but it seems like their interest in the player has waned in recent months.

For Manchester United, they have to rebuild their squad after a disappointing campaign having ended in a sixth-placed finish and Pogba might not be a part of the new-look team expected next season.

Pogba has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
