Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent times after emerging as a target for Champions League winners Real Madrid.
United fans are currently worried about losing their ‘best goalkeeper’ in the world this summer, and are anxious to know what the shot-stopper’s decision will be.
However, the Spain international made it known recently that discussions about his future at the Theater of Dreams are not important as his attention is on the World Cup that will kick off in Russia a few days from now.
David was on the verge of joining Real Madrid three years ago but the deal couldn’t materialise before the closure of the window due to paper issues.
Nevertheless, the La Liga giants failed to drop their interest in signing the Spaniard and are expected to make a move for him once again this summer.
Real Madrid remain determined to replace Keylor Navas with a superb shot-stopper and have been in the market to achieve the aim.
Speaking recently to newsmen ahead of the World Cup, De Gea refused to make ‘clear’ comments about his future, insisting that the ‘most important thing’ is to focus on the tournament in Russia.
