Could this be a return to La Liga for Morata?

Alvaro Morata

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has struggled with life at Stamford Bridge and a return to La Liga this month isn’t totally out of proportion.

The striker has been an inconsistent player since his £58m move to Stamford Bridge last season and Maurizio Sarri is not happy with Morata’s output in the games he’s played this season.

According to Talksport, the player is being tracked by La Liga side Sevilla who are in the market for a new attack-minded player.

The media outlet revealed that the three-time Europa League winners have sent their representatives down to London to hold talks with the Blues over the possibility of capturing the 26-year-old Spanish international.

In the report, Sevilla want Morata on loan for the rest of the season but it’s yet to be seen if the Blues would want a loan deal for the misfiring striker.

However, Sarri could decide to hold on to the player’s services for the rest of the season and see if he will up his game or not.

In other Chelsea transfer news, Cesc Fabregas wide-spread switch to Monaco is on hold due to Monaco’s inability to meet Chelsea’s demand.

According to Sky Sports this morning, the Blues are asking for ‘too much’ and the Ligue 1 struggling side are unwilling to release huge price for a player who is in his 30s.

It should be recalled that the Spaniard was made the captain of the team in their 2-0 victory in one of Saturday’s FA Cup fixtures as a farewell message
