German side Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Sahoud has been a long time transfer target of Anfield giants Liverpool with a summer move almost taking place before the 20-year old remained with his current side.

According to a report from popular Italian news outlet Tuttosport Italian Serie A champions Juventus have now joined the race to sign Dahoud and they are very confident about getting their man. He was also a subject of a reported €34m bid from French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) however it was rejected by his German side.

There is no doubt that Mahmoud Dahoud’s future is unclear due to the fact that he is stalling on a new deal with the club, who finished in third position behind Barcelona and Manchester City as far as the group stage of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) is concerned.

With Juventus and possibly PSG still interested in him as well as his club’s resistance to let him go, it could be a difficult task for Liverpool to seal a transfer for him ahead of the January transfer window with Jurgen Klopp’s team crying out for transfer reinforcements in their bid to end a 27-year title drought (Liverpool last won the league title in 1990).
