Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been named the Young Player of the Year Award recipient at the club.
The recently capped England international player won the award at Chelsea’s end-of-the-season award ceremony on Friday night.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has come on in leaps and bounds since he broke into the Chelsea team during preseason.
He struggled for regular game time at the start of the season under new manager Maurizio Sarri but the young winger continued to impress in his cameo outings back then.
Hudson-Odoi saw more action in recent weeks in the colours of Chelsea until the end of last month when he sustained a season-ending injury during the league game against Burnley.
The young winger suffered a serious Achilles injury during the home game with the Clarets as both teams played out a 2-2 draw.
He has since undergone surgery to solve the problem and the player is not expected back in action until September at least.
Before his injury, Callum Hudson-Odoi had been impressive, especially in the Europa League where he scored four goals in nine appearances.
Hudson-Odoi won’t be in the Chelsea squad when they take on London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final on the 29th of May in Baku, Azerbaijan to determine who succeeds Atletico Madrid as the Europa League champions.
