Premier League heavyweights Manchester United spent lots of money during the past summer transfer window to reinforce their squad. And even though they started this season impressively, they are currently five points behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who are sitting on top of the table at the moment.
And if new reports are anything to go by, then it appears Man United boss Jose Mourinho is trying to further add more power to his team, following speculations that the red devils are trying to seal a deal for next season by concluding the signing of Valencia’s Carlos Soler.
The Daily Mail made it known that even though the Spanish international has got a release clause of £75million in his current deal at Valencia, the club won’t mind accepting anything in the region of £30million for the 20-year-old due to their ongoing financial issues.
Carlos is a versatile star who can play in the midfield and in the attacking third, even though he mainly played as a central midfielder last season.
This season, however, the talented starlet had been mainly used on the right wing by his manager at Valencia, and in nine appearances, has scored a goal with four assists.
According to The Daily Mail, since the futures of the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick remain unclear, Jose wants to bring in other superb midfielders, and he feels Soler can give him what he wants at Old Trafford.
