Former European champions Chelsea are reportedly planning a transfer raid on one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League (PL).

According to the report from renowned English media platform Daily Express, the Blues want to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson when the January transfer window reopens in the New Year.

It was revealed that Chelsea are eyeing a £30m bid for him and that would represent a significant profit for Bournemouth.

The Cherries signed Callum Wilson for just £3m.

The 26-year-old has been in fantastic form for both club and country this term and that has not gone unnoticed at Stamford Bridge.

Callum Wilson has scored eight goals and also provided five assists in the first 15 games of the new Premier League campaign.

His Bournemouth form led to a first call-up to the England national team for the striker in November.

He made a goalscoring debut for England by netting the third goal in the 3-0 victory over the United States of America at the Wembley Stadium in what was an international friendly game.

On his prized asset Callum Wilson, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes that the South Coast club will be able to fend off the interest of Chelsea in him.
