Premier League side Liverpool have been looking to sign a top quality midfielder to reinforce their squad in this summer transfer window, and one of the players linked is Arsenal and England international attacking midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Merseyside club have been interested in signing the Arsenal star for a long time and just last month, a British tabloid, Mirror reported that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants the $32million rated star at Anfield Stadium and Liverpool reportedly made a direct inquiry to sign him.
According to an exclusive update provided by Daily Star, North London club Arsenal are reluctant that they will not let go of the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Chilean Alexis Sanchez to a rival Premier League club.
British sources report the Emirate club have no plans of allowing Alex to join the Merseysiders this summer transfer window as he heads into the final season of his contract.
Jurgen Klopp already has midfielders like Lallana, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Can in his team. Moreover, Liverpool are also keen on signing Guinean international star Naby Keita fromLeipzig reports Bild.
Last season, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain only started 16 matches in the Premier League for the Gunners and contributed in 9 goals including 7 goals and 2 assists.
