Chelsea Target To Join Shanghai SIPG In £35m Transfer

West Ham United star Marko Arnautovic is said to be closing on a big money move to China some days after his East London club ruler out an exit for him.

According to The Sun, Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG will complete a £35m transfer for Austrian international star Arnautovic before the end of this week.

The Hammers had earlier dismissed a transfer for him last week in a club statement after his agent requested for the player’s exit from West Ham United.

Marko Arnautovic appeared to say his goodbye by waving his hands to the West Ham fans when he was substituted during the Premier League London Derby clash with Arsenal at the Olympic Stadium at the weekend.

His gesture further heightened talks of a West Ham exit for the 29-year-old.

The transfer links surrounding Marko Arnautovic didn’t affect West Ham United who pulled off a 1-0 win over the Gunners at home.

Declan Rice was the hero for the Hammers as he scored the only goal of the game in the second half to give his side the three points at stake.

Before the China links surfaced last week, Marko Arnautovic was linked with a possible transfer to bigger Premier League sides like Manchester United and Chelsea.
