Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez has come out to clear the air concerning reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.
The former Manchester United star was believed to be eyeing an exit from the club with suggestions he does not have a good relationship with any of his teammates and is unhappy.
However, Hernandez also known as Chicharito has dismissed the reports, insisting he is happy to stay at Bayer Leverkusen.
‘Why would I like to stay in the Bundesliga? Because I feel good and I’m happy,’ Hernandez told bundesliga.com.
‘I’ve learned a lot in the Bundesliga, as a player and as a man.
‘I like playing in the Champions League, and luckily Bayer have been involved in the last few years. We hope we can achieve that goal again in the second half of the season.’
His agent, Eduardo Hernandez had earlier hinted that the 28-year-old will not be leaving the Bundesliga side this month.
Chelsea are said to be interested in securing a deal for the Mexico international but it appears Antonio Conte is more interested in a move for Swansea City Striker Fernando Llorente in swap deal which could see Michy Batshuayi move in the opposite direction.
