According to reports, Chelsea board are concerned that star forward Eden Hazard could seek a transfer away from the West London club if Italian tactician Antonio Conte stays on as Head Coach.

Chelsea lookout for a new manager

The Daily Telegraph, as cited by Metro, is claiming that fears over the star player’s future at the London club have contributed to the Blues looking to sign a new head coach to replace the former Italy boss.

As per the same article, the relationship between Eden Hazard and Antonio Conte has reportedly become “strained” and the former Lille forward could look to force a transfer away from the club if the Italian manager stays on at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium international forward has long been heavily linked with a switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid, although the forward himself has regularly talked about his commitment to Chelsea.

Manager face uncertainty

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea future has also been uncertain recently due to the Blues’ mixed second year under the Italian tactician.

Chelsea have heavily struggled for consistency under Antonio Conte in the Italian’s second year in charge at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Chelsea boss can still end the campaign with a major trophy by defeating Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final next weekend.
