Chelsea star player Diego Costa is expected to leave Stamford Bridge anytime soon, and he appears destined to reunite with his former Spanish club, Atletico Madrid.

In a new development, it is reported that Chelsea and the La Liga club had begun negotiating the £50million transfer fee as he looks for a way out of West London.

Atletico Madrid are still serving a transfer ban and can’t register any new player as part of their squad until January. So, we can conclude that the Spanish club intends sending Costa out on loan after they sign him this summer.

It is understood that the Premier League champions want to make sure they get good cash for the Spaniard after fears that his clash with manager Antonio Conte going public would definitely weaken their negotiating position.

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Chelsea are demanding £50m for the huge striker as they won’t give interested clubs the chance to buy Costa for a less fee despite the recent incident.

The Spain international has shone in the Premier League since moving from the La Liga to west London just three years ago. In 120 games for the Blues, he has scored 59 goals and has helped them win two Premier League trophies in the last three seasons.
