According to goal, Chelsea summer target Dani Alves has shunned the premier league champions and has agreed to a two-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The former Barcelona player had been linked with moves to both Chelsea and Manchester City after being told he is free to leave Turin this summer.
It is understood that even though the Brazilian has a verbal agreement in place over a deal to sign for Pep Guardiola’s side, it is yet to be seen whether he will require a transfer fee or not.
But Man City are still said to have prepared to pay just £5 million for Alves, although the defender could still leave Juventus on a free transfer.
Last week in an interview, the Samba star gave the clue about a Premier League move after professing his interest in the English top flight. He is keen on reuniting with his former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola in England and could rescind his own contract to join Man City for nothing this summer.
The player will reportedly earn £85,000 each week at the Etihad Stadium – which is an increase of his £60,000 wages at Juventus.
The former Brazilian international was allowed to leave Barcelona last summer and he joined Juve on a free transfer. He became an important member of the squad at Turin, helping them win the Serie A title as well as getting to the Champions League final.
