According to the president of Lyon Jean-Michel Aulas, the French club would not stand in the way of star player Alexandre Lacazette sealing a big transfer to either Manchester United or Barcelona.
Alexandre Lacazet has yet another outstanding season in front of goal for the Ligue 1 club, scoring 21 times in 24 games in all competitions to spark fresh rumours over his future.
English Premier League side Manchester United are one of many clubs to be linked with an interest in the French man in recent years, and it appears they could be in with a real chance of landing him in the near future.
Aulas named the Old Trafford club along with Barcelona as the two major clubs that Lyon would not look to prevent their star player from joining.
‘If Barcelona or Manchester United one day present a suitable offer, we won’t stop Lacazette,’ he admitted.
Arsenal are regarded as the team to have shown the strongest interest in the 25-year-old forward down the years, only to fail with a bid for him last summer. So, this could come as a bad news to them.
It was recently claimed that it would likely take as much as £60million to persuade Lyon to sell the France international, though that shouldn’t be too big a fee to put Man United off.
