Blues Legend Reveals Why Conte Must Buy Dutch Ace
Chelsea legend Ray Wilkins believes Antonio Conte must move for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk to continue to mount a serious title challenge in the Premier League.
Van Dijk has been continuously linked with a move away from the Saints with host of top clubs in the race to sign the Dutchman but Wilkins has tipped him to join the Blues.
He told talksport: “Van Dijk has had a fantastic time since he has come down Celtic, almost looked a little bit of a snip for what Southampton got him for,
“He has improved and he looks a very good defender.
“He would bring on the youngsters coming through as well because he is excellent on the communication side of stuff. He would be a perfect fit [for Chelsea].”
