Why Barcelona’s interest in Lacazette is a joke
It has been reported that Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona are keen on the signature of North London outfit Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette ahead of the summer transfer window.
This is after a promising season by the player who has been in form especially in the Europa League as the Spanish side hope to land a new No.9 in the team.
The response from Alexandre Lacazette is well-deserved; having stated that he is flattered by the interest without giving consent or not to the speculations.
However, suggestions are that there is no way the former Lyon striker will seek any move away from the Emirates Stadium in this current season despite the inability to secure qualification to the Champions League.
While there is still hope of a Champions League football next season, should the Unai Emery team secure a win in the Europa League finals, the friendship between the French striker and the Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is something that s being cherished at the moment and will not be tampered with by a move away.
However, Lacazette has already hinted that his team will be looking forward to challenging the English Premier League next season with more goals.
