This season has been a very controversial one for manager Jose Mourinho owing to a number of events that have defined this season.
It all started with his rift with the executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward for refusing to sanction additions to the team in the summer, followed by his rift with certain players and then his ‘clash’ with the media.
All of these translated into bad results for the Red Devils with the Portuguese manager being at the middle of it all.
United are now sixth place in the Premier League table and they are set to clash against league leaders Liverpool which leaves them as underdogs for the game.
In his pre-match press conference, the United boss stated that his side are far away from winning the league.
This obviously got the fans annoyed as they stormed the social media to call for his sack with insinuations that he can no longer trust the team to deliver this season.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time the job of the Portuguese boss has been linked away but has been lucky to have been backed by the club owners to turn the situation around especially in the second half of the season.
