Arsenal chief and head of football Raul Sanllehi has hinted that the club has learnt its mistake on what happened with contract rebel Aaron Ramsey and will never allow a player’s contract to run into the last year again.

The Gunners were left with no choice over the Wales international who because of his importance to the club and the end of his contract made an ambiguous demand from the club which could not be met.

Arsenal, therefore, walked out of talks with Ramsey’s representatives as they could not afford the demands of his weekly wages.

The club’s chief, therefore, stated that the club will no more be careless in this regard and will ensure that player’s contract are sorted out before they enter into the last year of their deal.

Raul Sanllehi who leads football at the management level said the decision of the club is nothing new but what should be done.

He refused to discuss the major cause which involves Ramsey as he stated that no individual makes a decision in the club but they have to go through a long process which involves a number of persons with integrity.

Meanwhile, he refused to discuss if Ramsey will be handed a new contract or not but all indicators point to the fact that the club have made up their mind to let him go.
