According to new reports, Man United star player Marouane Fellaini is shying away from signing a new contract at the club, and Jose Mourinho must do all he could to convince the midfielder to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Fellaini has a year left on his current contract with the red devils and his Portuguese manager is understood to be keen on seeing him sign a new contract at the club.
Last year, the premier league heavyweight activated a one-year extension to the player’s contract, but the Belgian is said to believe that this will be his last big deal in football.
The 30-year-old has been impressive at Old Trafford this season and is currently the Manchester United player with the highest goals after Romelu Lukaku, having scored four times for his side.
The Belgium international has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent times, and there were speculations that his next destination will be Turkey.
Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray are understood to be interested in bringing him over to the country and were linked with him this summer.
However, Man United boss Jose Mourinho has played down the possibility of Fellaini joining Galatasaray by jokingly saying it is easier for the club to get him than to get Marouane.
According to Yahoo, the former Chelsea boss sees Marouane as a very important player, but is not yet sure if he will stay at Old Trafford.
