AS Monaco have warned Arsenal that their winger Thomas Lemar is not for sale, amid transfer speculation.
The 23-year-old was a figure for the Ligue 1 champions last season, netting 14 goals and 14 assists to help his side stun everyone with impressive displays to get to the latter stages of the Champions League.
Arsenal are said to have spoken with the French club over the possibility of signing Lemar this summer and were preparing a bid to lure him to the Emirates, at the expense of the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona who have also been credited with an interest in the winger.
Reports in the Independent claim that the Gunners moved ahead of their rivals with £31million bid for Lemar.
However, the report also have it that the French side are not convinced by Arsenal’s offer for one of their star performers and issued a stay-off warning to the North London side.
Having lost the likes of Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Premier League sides, with reports that Fabinho and Benjamin Mendy are keen on making moves to England this summer, the French giants will try to keep the shape of their title-winning squad despite being offered big money to sell their hot sensation, Kylian Mbappe.
