Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has named two Liverpool players in the list of his top five Premier League players.
The ex-England international right-back mentioned two Reds stars while he was providing answers to questions during a Twitter Q&A session with fans.
When he was asked about his top five players in the Premier League, Dutch international defender Virgil Van Dijk and Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah were the Liverpool players mentioned by the former Valencia manager.
Other Premier League stars that made his top-five list include Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City and Belgium, Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur and England, as well as Eden Hazard of Chelsea and Belgium.
The duo of Van Dijk and Salah have been hugely influential to the Reds’ unbeaten start to the new Premier League season.
Liverpool presently occupy joint top on the Premier League table alongside defending champions Manchester City.
The Reds have won eight and draw two of their first ten Premier League matches this term with 26 points recorded and the duo of Van Dijk and Salah have been a big part of that.
The Van Dijk-Liverpool defence has the second best defensive record with just four goals conceded, while Salah has netted two goals and provided two assists in the last two league games.
