Arsenal could only share points with Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium during the weekend following their 3-1 defeat to Manchester United a fortnight ago at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal will now clash with West Ham on Wednesday night, and they need to put aside their current challenges if they are to beat the Hammers – who won Chelsea at home in the weekend.
Arsene Wenger’s side are now sitting on the fifth spot of the premier league table, and must avoid dropping more points to secure a place in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
And as far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, it was made known that midfielder Ramsey picked a knock during the game against the Saints, and he is not likely to participate in the game vs the hammers
Due to this, Jack Wilshere is expected to take his place in the centre of the park alongside Granit Xhaka.
Defender Shkodran Mustafi is expected to return back to action on Wednesday, and will definitely be in the starting XI if he is fully fit.
Here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 3-4-2-1 XI vs the Hammers.
GK – Cech
DC – Monreal
DC – Koscielny
DC – Mustafi
ML – Kolasinac
MC – Xhaka
MC – Wilshere
MR – Bellerin
AC – Alexis
AC – Ozil
FC – Lacazette
