Chelsea legend Ray Wilkins says Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wouldn’t be keen on signing Blues defender David Luiz for the Red Devils.

The Brazil international centre-half has fallen out-of-favour at the club over the past couple of months.

David Luiz has seen his role at the club taken up by 21-year-old Danish Center-half Andreas Christensen at the Bridge.

Indeed, the 30-year-old defender’s relationship with Italian tactician Antonio Conte has deteriorated to prompt rumour about his future.

Premier League side Manchester United have been strongly linked with a possible transfer to bring in the former Paris Saint Germain defender ahead of the winter transfer window.

Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho took the decision to cash in on David Luiz to French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in a £50million deal back in the 2014 summer window before the fan favourite returned to Stamford Bridge in 2016.

Manchester United have the best defence in the English Premier League but have had to come with several injury problems at the back.

Former assistant manager at Chelsea, Ray Wilkins told sportingbet he doesn’t think Jose Mourinho would be keen on signing the Brazilian international centre-half in January.

David Luiz was part of the the Blues squad that won the English Premier League title last season thanks to his good defensive partnership with Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta and England international Gary Cahill.
