Man United Battling Spurs For Turkish Star, Agent Claims

Manchester United are battling Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of teenage sensation Serkan Bakan, according to his agent.

The 16-year-old who currently plies his trade with Turkish club Gaziantepspor, is one of the rising stars in the Turkish league due to his promising displays with reports a host of clubs are looking at possibility of signing him this summer.

His agent has now revealed that United have scouted the player on several occasions but face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and some clubs in Germany, he  told ESPN FC: Manchester United and Tottenham have been scouting Bakan.

“Several clubs from Germany have also been keeping tabs following his debut season in the Super Lig.

“He already has goals in the cup and league. Serkan is a special talent, so it is natural for there to be a lot of interest.”

In related news, Inter Milan have told Manchester United that they will willing to lower their transfer demands for Ivan Perisic only if the Old Trafford outfit will allow them take Anthony Martial on a season loan with an option of outright buy next season, according to Corriere dello Sport.

However, it is understood that United are unwilling to allow Martial leave the club while the winger has also remained adamant about fighting for a first team berth under Mourinho despite from other clubs in Europe.
