Antonio Conte finally speak on £90,000-a-week star transfer link

Antonio Conte stayed coy when asked about the rumour linking the Premier League Champions with a transfer to sign West Ham forward Andy Carroll in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with a couple of players this window as Antonio Conte considers strengthening his team this month.

The Blues have already completed their first winter signing after sealing a move to sign England midfielder Ross Barkley from Merseyside club Everton last Friday on a long-term deal.

The Stamford Bridge outfit are thought to be searching for a couple of other players this window and a forward is a potential department Conte’s side could look to reinforce to try and lessen the load on Spain international striker Alvaro Morata.

The 29-year-old is one player to have been connected with a possible transfer to the West London club this month.

However, Antonio Conte was in no mood to respond when he was questioned directly if England forward could be a transfer target for Chelsea in the winter transfer window.

The Blues are now getting prepared for their English Premier League encounter against Leicester as they try to climb the log and get closer to run away leaders Manchester City.
