According to Italian media reports, Premier League giants Arsenal are considering making a move for Juventus star Benatia this summer transfer window.

Arsenal set to land experienced defender

Italian publication Calcio Mercato, as cited by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that Arsenal are keen on landing the 31-year-old African this summer transfer window.

The same article states that the Italian champions could be prepared to offload the central defender and that the Old Lady value him at about £20million, which would be within the Gunners budget.

The Gunners have already strengthened their backline this summer window by confirming the landing of right full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner Yesterday.

It remains to be discovered whether new boss Unai Emery will continue to strengthen his team by signing Benatia this summer window as he looks to assemble a team capable of breaking into the top four in the Premier League next term.
