It has been hinted that North London outfit Arsenal will insist on former player Edu as their technical director as the search continues.

The North London outfit parted ways with Sven Mislintat and they have been making efforts to land replacement but they are yet to succeed in their search.

The club had made efforts to land former AS Roma chief Monchi but he turned down the offer for a move to the Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla while Ajax have insisted on keeping Marc Overmars at the club.

However, it is claimed that the Gunners team will make an attempt to lure Edu as he is tipped to build a perfect relationship with manager Unai Emery especially as they plan to storm the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Gunners are hoping they can land a technical director so as not to distract manager Unai Emery in his responsibility on the pitch.

Unai Emery has also admitted this fact as he revealed that the club are already in the search for Sven Mislintat.

However, it has been reported that the Arsenal board have made £40 million available for the manager to engage in the summer transfer window but it could be improved if they secure qualification to the Champions League next season.
