Arsenal rival Tottenham in race to sign Austrian prodigy

The North London rivalry between Arsenal and Tottenham has now gone a step forward with the contention for Austrian club RB Salzburg’s playmaker Hannes Wolf ahead of the winter transfer window in January.

The both North London side are tipped to be favourites in the chase for the player ahead of other English Premier League sides Southampton and Everton who are also believed to be interested in Hannes Wolf’s signature.

The Gunners are seeking to replace English international striker Danny Welbeck who has suffered a serious knee injury and is feared to be out of action for a long period.

Hannes Wolf. Is a welcome development for Arsenal having reportedly agreed that Welbeck will not be returning to the Emirates Stadium after the end of the season as he has been allowed to leave as a free player.

As reported by Adrian Kajumba of The Mirror, the 19-year-old will be ready to move in the winter transfer window which reopens in January but it is unsure if the club will allow him to leave.

The interesting attacking midfielder will be out of contract with his side in 2020 and Tottenham have been tipped to win the race for his signature should he be ready to move in January.
