According to reports, Arsenal have been given a potential boost in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Independent suggests the African is not joining any Chinese Super League outfit despite recent rumour that the Gabonese may be very close to completing a £62million transfer.
The forward has also been strongly linked by several outfits as a transfer target for Arsene Wenger’s side, who urgently require the service of a top quality player in attack as it seems like Chilean Alexis Sanchez is heading for the exit.
Recently, the Independent claimed the Chilean forward could be heading towards Manchester City in a matter of days, while the same oufit have reported today that United want to hijack the move.
Notwithstanding, the Daily Express have claimed in a report a possible offer from Liverpool, so it looks clear there are lots of suitors for the 29-year-old South American as he moves closer to the exit.
The Gunners surely have to do something pretty fast to bring in a replacement this month, even if they do eventually keep Sanchez until he exhaust his deal in the summer.
Aubameyang’s brilliant form for his German side would make him ideal in the third half in Arsene Wenger’s team, so supporters will be hoping the side now lure him to the Emirates as it seems like he’s not going to China.
