Deal Closed! Arsenal lose out on signing £97million forward

Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez has allegedly announced the winter transfer of Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi following his team’s latest slip-up.

The La Liga side drew 2-2 in the Spanish Copa del Rey last night with Numancia, prompting Real President Perez to inform his team he’d completed the signing of Mauro Icardi, as per Don Balon.

It remains unclear when Real Madrid expect Mauro Icardi to come, but Perez is thought to be determined to sign the Argentina international striker in the summer transfer window if a move cannot be sealed this January transfer window, as per Don Balon.

Reports linked the £97million attacker with the Gunners this week, while an initial report from Don Balon connected the striker with Manchester United.

The Sun also mentioned Premier League Champions Chelsea as possible suitors earlier this season, and it’s crystal clear the forward could do a good job for any of these sides.

The South American striker has been in good shape in the Italian Serie A this campaign and seems like he could possibly be a better version on either of Romelu Lukaku, Karim Benzema, Alexandre Lacazette or Alvaro Morata.

We’ll have to wait to see if Real Madrid can complete this signing this winter, or if there is still hope of Premier League clubs landing the striker.
