After sharing points with Chelsea last night at the Emirates Stadium in the premier league, Arsenal are now 23 points behind league leaders Manchester City. If we are to be candid and realistic, then we can agree that the premier league title is already out of reach as far as this season is concerned. But, how about next season’s Champions League ticket?
Right now, the North London club are 5 points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, and it appears they won’t finish the season among the top four in the premier league.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all superb at the moment, and these clubs are the ones likely to represent England in the Champions League next season (except if Arsenal can win the Europa League)
But can Arsene Wenger really win the Europa League ahead of the likes of Atletico Madrid, Dortmund and Napoli?
Perhaps, if the French boss can reinforce his squad this month.
As far as Arsenal’s transfers are concerned, Alexis Sanchez is likely to leave this January, and Wenger is expected to replace him with another superb player.
According to reports by gianlucadimarzio, Dortmund striker Aubameyang has been identified as the right guy to replace the Chilean at the Emirates Stadium.
The African star player scored 40 goals for the Bundesliga club last season in all competitions and has scored 21 times so far this season.
Aubameyang is an expensive player, but Arsenal fans will be pleased seeing him in London.
