Thomas Muller

According to a report, Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal are two of four teams in a race to sign Bayern Munich and Germany attacker Thomas Muller.

According to German newspaper Bild, Premier League Champions Chelsea and Juventus are also eyeing the 27-year-old, who is thought to have fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of James Rodriguez from European and La Liga Champions Real Madrid.

It is believed that Klopp is keen on adding the World Cup winner to his Liverpool team this summer transfer window.

However, Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has announced that the six times Bundesliga titles winner is going nowhere.

Bild quoted him as saying “Thomas is still not for sale because it fits perfectly to FC Bayern. Furthermore, there is no discussion.”

The Germany international attacker has spent his entire football career at Bayern Munich, playing 395 matches for them in all competitions.

Muller has regularly been among the scorers and played a prominent part in their 2013 UEFA Champions League win at Wembley.

The versatile attacker, who can play as a striker, in a No 10 role or on the right wing, scored nine times and provided 17 assists in 42 matches for Bayern Munich across all competitions last season.
