Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho has been courted by La Liga giant FC Barcelona throughout the summer transfer window, but Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain are still willing to splash the cash.

PSG could be set to rival La Liga side Barcelona for Liverpool midfield maestro Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazil international is wanted by FC Barcelona to replace Neymar Jr – who joined the French giant for a whopping £199million.

But according to French publication Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain are not willing to stop spending yet and could launch a £100million offer for the unsettled Liverpool star.

Paris Saint-Germain want to build a strong squad that can win the UEFA Champions League and are set to spend big to reinforce their squad in order to compete favourably with the best teams in Europe.

But all of Barcelona’s attempt to lure the Brazilian have so far been rebuffed with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisting none of his stars will be sold this summer transfer window.

Philippe Coutinho was left out of the Red’s team on Saturday night for the friendly match against La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.

The 25-year-old Brazilian is still suffering from a little knock that also saw him miss the Pre season friendly game with La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
