As far as Manchester United’s transfers are concerned, two things we keep hearing are ‘Shakhtar Donetsk’ and ‘Fred’.
And of course, here is a new one. The Ukraine club’s top chief Mr Rinat Akhmetov stated recently that he cannot declare the price Fred is being released.
There have been heavy claims that the red devils are finalising a deal for the Brazilian midfielder and that he is on his way to Manchester to get everything done.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been keeping tabs on the South American star in recent times, and it appears he will definitely play at Old Trafford next season.
Few weeks ago, Mourinho told newsmen his desire to have a Brazilian in his team, and the fans are convinced Fred will be the first signing for United.
And without waiting for any announcement from Manchester United, Shakhtar president Akhmetov confirms the deal, publicly revealing the backdoor activities.
He made it known that the South American player was sold to a ‘strong club’, and he also suggested the Brazilian was sold for a slightly high fee.
We are all aware manager Jose Mourinho must sign a new midfielder after Michael Carrick hung his boots at the end of this season. We should believe Fred is closer to becoming a Manchester United player.
