Christian Pulisic

Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic picked up a right thigh injury during the international friendly clash between the United States of America and Chile.

West London giants Chelsea paid £57.1m to secure the signing of the aforementioned Pulisic during the January transfer window but the 20-year-old won’t join the club until this summer.

Christian Pulisic is expected to stay at Borussia Dortmund for the rest of this season as they try to end their seven-year wait for the German Bundesliga title.

The United States of America and Chile met in Houston but there was no winner as both sides settled for a share of the spoils via a 1-1 draw.

Pulisic gave the hosts a fourth-minute lead before Oscar Opazo levelled proceedings for the Chileans five minutes later.

The American goalscorer then went on to pick up the aforementioned injury in the 36th minute and he was subsequently replaced by Sebastian Lletget who plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) side LA Galaxy.

Before he was subbed off as a result of the right thigh injury, Christian Pulisic made history with his goal.

He became the youngest player to get to 10 goals for the American national team.

It remains to be seen whether the injury sustained by Christian Pulisic would keep him out for a long period as Borussia Dortmund continue their quest for German Bundesliga glory against VFL Wolfsburg this weekend.
