According to reports, Premier League giants Manchester United have identified Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld as one of their targets in a big summer spree.
Man United set to spend big in the summer
The Daily Mirror is claiming that Manchester United are planning to embark on a £250million or more overhaul of their team after a disappointing campaign ended up with them finishing the season trophyless.
The Red Devils were beaten by Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup final at Wembley at the Weekend as they missed the opportunity to end the campaign with some trophy.
As per the same report, Belgium international defender Alderweireld, is one of United’s primary transfer targets this summer window as The Red Devils look to significantly reinforce their team.
Toby linked with move away from Spurs
The 29-year-old central defender has long been heavily linked with a transfer away from the North London club and he has been touted strongly as a possible transfer target for United.
Manchester United are likely to be connected with a number of quality players this summer window as manager Jose Mourinho looks to build a squad good enough to win the English Premier League title next term.
Manchester United have not won the English top flight trophy since their last success under Scottish manager Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012-13.
