Why Anthony Martial is not on Hazard’s level, pundit

Anthony Martial

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has stated that Manchester United striker Anthony Martial remains a great player but cannot be ranked in the same level with Belgium international Eden Hazard.

Martial had proved a magical display in the Premier League clash between the Red Devils and the Blues at the Stamford Bridge, scoring two goals in the game.

The player was initially relegated to the bench by manager Jose Mourinho but with his performance against Newcastle, the Portuguese manager handed him another opportunity which he never regretted at the end of the day.

In his reaction to the game, Cascarino stated that it was interesting watching the Frenchman, adding that he is impressed with the current form of the player.

According to him, Martial is seen to be a spectacular player any time he is in good form but he cannot fall in the ranks of the likes of Hazard because he has lacked the needed consistency over time.

Cascarino explained that Martial has got the same problem as Marcus Rashford who is yet to prove his influence in all games he played, stressing that the Frenchman must play every time and score at most times so as to be rated.

He stated that the suggestions that the player ought to be playing under managers like Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp or Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino because of their style do not count affirming that Martial can also be the big player under Jose Mourinho.
