Chelsea and Brazil international defender David Luiz has joined goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in poking fun toward ‘rebel’ striker Diego Costa, after referring to the striker during an Instagram post signifying the return of club Legend Didier Drogba.
Ivorian Didier Drogba has been enjoying his time out at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground during the week, with the Phoenix Rising forward working on his fitness following a minor injury.
But having been pictured earlier in the week with the man that replaced Costa, Alvaro Morata, the Brazil international defender has joined Courtois in mocking the wantaway striker with a phrase Gerard Pique made popular during Brazilian Neymar’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Luiz re-posted Drogba’s picture including the same ‘famous’ phrase used by Belgium international Courtois in a photo of him and the former Athletico Madrid striker earlier in the day (Saturday), attracting more than 160,000 likes within two hours on Instagram.
The unsettled Chelsea striker declared during an exclusive interview on Sportsmail last month that he would like to return to Atletico Madrid, but the La Liga side are currently under a transfer ban until January, meaning the Brazil born Spaniard would not be able to play for the Diego Simeone tutored side until January.
The saga has not stopped the Blues from shockingly including Costa in their 25-man Premier League squad list.
Costa is still in his hometown of Lagarto in the South America country of Brazil and has refused to return to Chelsea.
