Jose Mourinho could only get a point when his side clashed with Liverpool last Saturday at Anfield, and he will be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Benfica on Wednesday night.
Manchester United are currently sitting top of their Champions League group while Benfica, on the other hand, lost both of their first two games and are at the bottom of the table.
And as far as Manchester United’s team news is concerned, both Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia are not part of the party that travelled to Portugal, and so won’t be featuring in the game.
With this, Ashley Young is expected to start in the right back position, and Victor Lindelof should also be given a start to face his former club. Blind is also likely to start in the left back side.
And in the middle of the park, since Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini are still out injured, both Matic and Ander Herrera should be the ones to take care of the middle.
Then for the attack, we can expect the trio of Juan Mata, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford to start behind Belgium international Romelu Lukaku.
If Jose Mourinho can field this 4-2-3-1 formation when his side clash with Benfica in Portugal today, we can expect the premier league heavyweights to trash the home side.
