Why Emery is in rush to complete signing of defensive target

English Premier League outfit Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly desperate to secure the signature of Italian Serie A outfit Napoli right full-back Kevin Malcuit before the January winter window is over.

Hector Bellerin has been confirmed to be out of action for about 6-9 months for suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the recent game against Chelsea.

This, therefore, calls for an urgent solution by way of a replacement and with the January window already running out, the Gunners boss is desperate to do a quick deal and have Kevin Malcuit join the club before the end of Thursday deadline.

Unai Emery is a big fan of the 27-year-old and he is ready to bring him into the team knowing that the race for a top four finish has become more intense so as to secure qualification for next year’s Champions League.

It is therefore unsure if the Italian Serie A outfit will release Kevin Malcuit in this winter window, knowing that he is a major part of the Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
