Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has sounded a note of caution to Young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi about a possible exit from the club.
Ex-Blues star Zola talked about the England junior international in his pre-match thoughts ahead of the all-important FA Cup fifth round tie against Premier League top four rivals Manchester United.
Chelsea will host the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge on Monday night with a place in the quarterfinals up for grabs.
Gianfranco Zola is the assistant manager in the current managerial setup headed by Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.
According to former Italian international Zola, Callum Hudson-Odoi should be grateful that he’s getting some minutes under his belt at Chelsea and that there are only a few 18-year-olds playing regular football at major European clubs.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has been frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities and that has played a major role in his decision to seek fn exit from his boyhood club Chelsea.
The 18-year-old submitted a transfer request during the last transfer window only for Chelsea to deny his exit request.
German champions Bayern Munich tried to sign him last month but failed despite making five separate bids for him.
He has 18 months left on his contract with Chelsea at the moment.
