Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed a top secrete on why he left the Old Trafford.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said goodbye to the Reds Devils earlier this year for LA Galaxy where he currently plays.

He revealed that he had a knee injury in one of United’s Europa League game and was no longer comfortable playing because it was difficult.

Efforts by the Old Trafford side to hand a new deal to the Sweden international at the start of the 2017/2018 season failed as the player made up his mind to terminate his contract with United in March 2018 for the MLS.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic stated that he had to face a new challenge and felt he was ready to play again that was why he decided to join the MLS side, otherwise he would have said goodbye to football.

The Swede revealed that manager Jose Mourinho made efforts to convince him to stay back but he had to go because he did not want to disappoint the Portuguese manager, the teammates and the fans with poor performance.

However, United are missing the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the team as they have been inconsistent in goal scoring.

Suggestions are that United would be in a better position should Zlatan Ibrahimovic had stayed back at the club.
